The sucky:

Weighed in on Saturday afternoon and I was UP 1/2 lb from Friday afternoon.

The good:

I’m down 9 lbs in less than 2 weeks. I was probably UP because it was a different time of day than normal weigh in and my tummy wasn’t empty at weigh in like it normally is. Plus, <ahem> that girl thing.

The awesome:

I went to a birthday party last night.  There was GOOD beer being served and a taco bar that smelled amazing. Ryan and I ate dinner before hand and I cut up lots of on plan veggies and made a Tzatziki dip (sans cucumbers) that everyone (including Ry and I) LOVED.

I sliced red peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet baby broccoli and celery to bring along.

This is the yummy recipe (which I doubled)

This is from a member of the Slimgenics website:

  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Morton’s light salt
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon dried dill and 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard

To make:

Stir together, chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes, the longer the better though!

    You are kicking butt with the weight loss. Being diligent pays off. Now why can’t I learn that?!?

  2. You so rocked it last night, girl. I was impressed that you could be around all of that good food (pie, too!) and choose to abstain. Don’t be hard on yourself over the 1/2 pound – don’t forget our bodies fluctuate all the time! The regular weigh-ins are just a guideline.

    Good to see you several times this weekend. :D

  3. Hi, I saw your comment on the wedding chapel bridal thing on Jen’s page and thought I’d check out your blog. Funny thing is that I am on week 2 of slimgenics as well!

    Weekdays are easy, but the weekends are hard b/c my fiancee is not on plan.

    anyways, just wanted to say good job and keep doing what you are doing. I am not getting as good of results as you, but I can say that I am doing better and I feel way more in control of my eating!
